"A home without a cat[s]—and a well-fed, well-petted and properly revered cat[s]—may be a perfect home, perhaps, but how can it prove its title?" -- Mark Twain
Having les chats trying to sit in my lap and on my computer while I try to type this post proves to me - without a shadow of a doubt - that this is home. IT IS GOOD TO BE HOME!!!
I am going to take the next two days and the weekend to rest up and get settled back in before jumping into work on Monday. So far the weekend lineup includes: (1) dinner on Friday and (2) a day on the lake (Saturday) with my friends. I might try to sneak some time in on Thursday or Friday during the day to go to the spa. I have a million other little things on my to do list but those are the highlights.
I have a new neighbor moving in downstairs -- met him for about two seconds earlier as I was dashing off to the grocery store. I'm sure he will be a good neighbor (I hope) and it's nice to finally have some new people in my building again! (At my complex, we have four buildings, each with six units ... since I moved in last summer, we've only had three people living in our building.)
All for now! I have way to much to do to be goofing off on my computer all day! I am so glad that Katey and I are both home now. And may we both be home for a L-O-N-G time! My goal is to stay out at least through August. Assuming I get admitted to grad school and start classes this fall, I will most likely go in for a "tune up" before the semester starts.
