Magic in the Moonlight

Our CFF Gala is right around the corner. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to volunteer this year as I have other Halloween plans, but I wanted to share information about this upcoming event with my readers. If you are interested in attending this fantastic event, see below.

SATURDAY EVENING, OCTOBER 30, 2010

PRESENTED BY: ROGER & DIANE APPELL

HOSTED BY: DR. & MRS. BARRY GINSBURG

ENTERTAINMENT BY: VANN BURCHFIELD

"Magic in the Moonlight," presented by UAB Administration / UAB Health Systems and AT&T, is set this year for Saturday, October 30th, with a relaxed atmosphere in the home of Dr. & Mrs. Barry Ginsburg. Co-Chairs Roger & Diane Appell have once again brought together some of the best restaurants and chefs in Birmingham who will present their signature dishes, including Michael's, Bongiorno's, John's City Diner, Gianmarco's and Zea Rotisserie & Grill, as well as Chef Andy Camardella. World class saxophonist Vann Burchfield will entertain us. Vann has had the honor of performing at the White House for their Annual Holiday Open House during the Christmas season for the past four years. You’ll want to be sure to bid on a variety of auction items, as well as our “Diamond on Ice” courtesy of Barton-Clay Fine Jewelers.

We are very pleased to announce that Dr. J.P. Clancy is our Honoree this year, and will be presented the Sheena Diane Ayers Humanitarian Award that evening. Dr. Clancy is well known and loved by so many of our CF families he has helped care for. Dr. Clancy also plays a huge role in our CF research shared worldwide including recent breakthrough studies.

I got this invite in the mail. I would LOVE to attend one. Have you ever been before?? The only issue I would have is infection control. I am so crazy about germs. It looks fun though. Maybe one day when I am well. =)
